Tron LED Kit

I'm Comet, your host. Provider of any and all, entertainment...and diversions. Your prized Tron will love our LED conversion kit. It comes with everything you need to cycle out your old lights that came installed with the original Stern game, and brighten up it up the way it deserves.

This kit can be ordered to include the LED OCD board, which helps replicate the smooth fading of playfield insert lights. Tron uses some fading effects on inserts, so if you want the best results when converting to LEDs, get the board. Change the scheme, alter the mood. Electrify the boys and girls. If you're not picky, and you don't get the board, you probably won't notice.
The non-OCD version of this kit uses non-ghosting bulbs in the inserts. However, the OCD version of the kit uses regular LEDs, which perform better with the OCD board.

Each bulb is chosen by hand and tested in a real machine before being included in this kit. We spend an unreasonable amount of time putting these together, and believe it shows in the final product. The game has changed, Flynn!

A note on flashers

In our opinion, many of the complaints about modern games being too bright are due to the use of LED flashers. For some people, they're too bright! We like to leave our flashers as incandescent (and no one playing our games has noticed the omission), but they can be added to this kit for an extra charge by selecting it above.

Tron LE came from the factory with LEDs installed in the inserts, thus our LE kit is just GI lighting (and optional flashers). If you have a Tron Pro, and do not want or need LEDs for the inserts, you can order the "LE" version of the kit and that will give you what you need, since the versions of the games are otherwise identical in terms of lighting.

The blues are more tasteful in person that they might otherwise appear.
