Simpsons Pinball Party LED Kit
Set your reactions to stun. Your TSPP will love our LED conversion kit. You don't win friends with incandescents (as was the style at the time), so this comes with everything you need to replace them all at once. We use non-ghosting bulbs, so any flickering you might experience with other LEDs will be un-possible.
In addition to all the normal general illumination bulbs and playfield inserts, this kit includes three additional spotlights to help with the darkest areas, a lighting strip for the outhole, and color changing bulbs for the Nuclear Plant Cooling Tower pop bumpers! And I, for one, welcome our new LED overlords.
This kit can be ordered to include the LED OCD board, which helps replicate the smooth fading of playfield insert lights. (Though it is more expensive the standard kit in terms of cost). TSPP uses more a lot of fading effects on inserts, so if you want the best results when converting to LEDs, get the board. If you're not picky, and you don't get the board, you probably won't notice. You are so smart, S-M-R-T.
The non-OCD version of this kit uses non-ghosting bulbs in the inserts. However, the OCD version of the kit uses regular LEDs, which perform better with the OCD board.
Find out more about the OCD board.
Each bulb is chosen by hand and tested in a real machine before being included in this kit. We spend an unreasonable amount of time putting these together, and believe it shows in the final product. Pinball: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.
We believe that many complaints about LEDs being too bright stem from too many LED flashers. My eyes, ze googles do nothing! As such, we leave them out in our games but there is an option above to have them included in the kit we send you (at an additional charge).
(If your TSPP has non-ghosting LEDs installed, and you want to get an OCD board...order this other kit, which is only the standard LEDs for the inserts and the OCD board, nothing else.)
Looks awesome in person. If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many is this 55 second video of the kit worth?
